Pizza Hut marks its presence across 105 countries and chooses India for celebrating its milestone because it marks out India as one of the key countries for accelerating the global growth.
  • The company has opened its 9,000th restaurant outside the US in Mumbai, which focuses on the growth of the Pizza Hut Fast Casual Delivery Business in India and globally.
  • It has already lined up plans to double its outlets in India to over 700 over the next five years.
  • Presently, Yum! names has over 350 stores of Pizza Hut spread over 100 municipalities in India. These stores are directed by its two concession relatives – Devyani Intercontinental and Sapphire Substances India.
  • India now has consistent sales growth during previous five quarters and sales is expected to rise in next few quarters.
  • Besides Pizza Hut, Yum! Brands operate two other names in India – KFC and Taco Bell and compete with Domino’s Pizza and Dunkin’ Donuts.
