South Korean car manufacturer Kia Motors which is all set to debut in Indian market with a mid size SUV plans to take on the likes of Hyundai Creta in the second half of 2019.

Kia Motors will produce at least three models initially after starting operation in 2019.

The first model would be a mid-SUV to take on the likes of the Hyundai Creta.

The subsequent product line-up will be a combination of sedans, hatchbacks & SUVs.

The carmaker will focus on manufacturing feature rich & stylish vehicles to attract young buyers.

The company plans to extensively use locally sourced parts in the first mid-SUV, which will help reduce costs & has already started work on the possible products for the Indian market at its Korean R&D center.

Kia Motors will also showcase some high-end premium cars in which its elder sibling Hyundai Motor is not present.
The company aims to have dealerships across India’s big cities by end-2019 & touchpoints in at least 100 places by 2022.
