An alliance of 100+ Indian CEOs and leaders has started a community movement called #Leadboldly and #StopTheSpread. Upasana Taku, Co-Founder, and COO of Mobikwik talk about what is the requirement of the day and how it has affected the business environment.
This new initiative is inspiring startup leaders to act and pledge the need for social distancing.
Every responsibility, whether it be meeting requirements of the business, raising funds or achieving profits, all are important but surviving is even more important to enforce Social distancing by enabling #Workfromhome.
The motive of the movement is to encourage the leaders, not to wait until the situation gets worsen because priority now is to defeat this disease. Work from home has shown an increase in productivity by 20% because of savings in commute time.
Some of the companies who have joined the initiative are Simple, Urban Company, Kalaari Capital, SHEROES, Truly Madly and ZipLoan to name a few.
The Co-founder says,” We have seen a fall in travels because it’s a lockdown situation and it’s not allowed to travel and refunds are in process but since we are a digital wallet company, and due to lockdown nobody is allowed to move out their homes, overall digital payments are benefitting the fact everybody is forced to pay online to avoid cash transaction. All markets are at their low but they will bounce back, though the recovery time can’t be said clearly.”
