Patanjali a name which started its journey as Ayurveda pharmacy is now a popular FMCG name among all of us. And now Baba Ramdev is all set to enter in the apparel segment through its brand ‘Paridhan’.
Baba Ramdev feels that only 10% of the textile industry is brand centric and there are only few Indian brands available in the market.
Paridhan being one of them expecting great response from the Indian customers and targeting a turnover of around 1000 crores by the end of 1st quarter of 2019.
There will be three different labels available under Paridhan. Menswear will be available in the name Sanskar, womenswear will be labeled as Aastha and there is one more label Livfit which will offer a wide range of sportswear and yoga dresses.
Apart from this people can shop for artificial jewelries and wedding clothes too. Paridhan is going to compete with multi national brands like Adidas, Puma, Nike, Levis etc. and promises to be 30-40% cheaper than these brands. A normal men’s shirt will start from Rs.500 and range up to 1700 with more than 1000 designs.
Paridhan will have around 100 outlets in different cities in India. Paridhan will also be available in multi brand showrooms and small apparel outlets because it approached 90 small and medium vendors too for the business.
Baba Ramdev has a huge exposure plan in the apparel sector. He is going to expand Paridhan tremendously by March 2020 and expects around 500 franchise stores by then. Baba Ramdev wants Indian to feel proud wearing our own Indian brand. Now this is going to be an interesting thing to see whether Baba Ramdev’s apparel brand – Paridhan is going to fulfill their promises or not?
