Amazon India to bundle exclusive device launches with its own services including Prime Video, Kindle and Amazon Pay.
The move comes after Amazon India’s shares fell in the smartphone category in the first quarter of 2017, where Flipkart emerged as a winner.
Besides calls, shopping, watching videos & reading are the three most heavily features used in a smartphone, and all of these were right there on top for Moto G5 with Prime Video, Kindle and Amazon Pay, which was recently launched on its platform.
The company is working closely with specifications, customer behaviour, online brand value & pricing, for its exclusive brand tie-ups with OnePlus & Coolpad, which will have pre installed Amazon services.
Exclusive tie-ups are crucial for marketplaces as they make additional revenue through promotion, marketing & distribution of brands which do not have a strong physical presence in India.
