$2billion food delivery start-up Deliveroo of UK all set to entered operations in India……

The energetic online food delivery start-up of UK Deliveroo valued at $2 billion who began their operations in 2015 is preparing to launch locally next year.
  • The European start-up is in the process to expand their operations in India and they are mapping out to deploy their full-fledged team in India along with the country head.
  • It will be very difficult for them to execute their operations in a country like this where there is already a crowded market in food delivery segment.
  • Local players such as Swiggy and Zomato who already called off their mergers and relatively new entrant Ubereats owned by Uber and its rival Ola who recently dig their footsteps into this segment by acquiring Foodpanda from the Delivery hero.
  • The UK based food delivery start-up already operates their operations in 140 cities across 13 countries in Asia Pacific Europe and the Middle East.
  • It will not be a very easy path for them to compete with the local players as food delivery segment is becoming saturated day by day and in order to tap food delivery segment by huge margins, they have to get in touch with huge investors.
As there are already four strongholds this food delivering industry it will be a tough and challenging task for UK based food delivery firm Deliveroo to capture the mind-set of special food-loving consumers.
