Vivo, the mobile-maker had been the title sponsor of IPL for the past seasons after Pepsi’s exit.
Vivo been associating itself for promotion of various sports in the country, as a strategy to position itself against other mobile brands in the market.
The brand has benefited with its association with IPL and to continue this strong partnership, it has bagged the title sponsorship for another five years for an unbelievable amount of Rs. 2,199 crores bid.
With this striking contract, BCCI stands to gain approximately Rs. 440 crores per year.
Vivo has not only been associated with promoting Cricket but other sports too.
Vivo has a five-year association with Pro Kabaddi, and also have made a deal with the FIFA for the year 2018-2022 World Cup.
