Twitter Launches New Tool to Help Brands Use Location Data

  • Twitter is one of the ways to easily get some customer service by simply tweeting, which can often get a faster response than finding a customer support number or using email.
  • Twitter has launched a new tool, allowing brands to request & share location data with users via direct messages in order to provide better customer service.
  • Users will have complete control over this feature, the brand manager will get user’s permission to receive location data to direct those (users) to the closest store.
  • The user must accept the request by hitting a “Share Location” button before the information is turned over to the brand.
  • By getting the information shared instantly, the brands can respond more accurately to their customers.
