PepsiCo India launched its all new product, Mirinda Joosy exclusively in Chennai on 29th November, Wednesday.
PepsiCo India has touched another milestone by launching Mirinda Joosy, a fizzy drink and this launch enhances its journey of sourcing fruit pulp from India.
The new product is a portfolio expansion of the company’s popular fruit flavoured beverage brand Mirinda, which is one of the eight brands with highest gross profit.
The launch of Mirinda Joosy continues PepsiCo’s promise to prioritize lower-calorie, lower-sugar beverage options and is accordance with its 2025 goals where the aim was that at least two-thirds of PepsiCo’s global beverage portfolio volume would contain 100 calories or fewer from added sugars.
The Mirinda Joosy contains orange fruit juice sourced from Indian
Mirinda contains fun and bubbly taste combined with the unique tangy taste of Indian Oranges, with lower-sugar and lower-calories.
Sweetened with Stevia and at 70 calories per serving (250 ml), Mirinda Joosy has 50 per cent reduced sugar than normal Mirinda.
PepsiCo has partnered with government in order to expand the market of carbonated drinks and for developing India’s citrus ecosystem
Mirinda Joosy will be available in Tamil Nadu and is priced at Rs. 35 per 500ml bottle.
The company has half-a-dozen brands in the low sugar beverage category. The company is looking to expand the category and products like Mirinda Joosy in that direction. However, the category is still nascent and contributes less than 10 per cent of total sales for now.
