Mobile payment platform Paytm has enabled payment of traffic challan on its platform.
Users can simply log onto the app, tap on ‘Traffic Challan’, enter their vehicle number and proceed to make the payment after verifying a few other details.
The service will generate a digital invoice and the customer’s surrendered documents will be dispatched via postal services by the respective police department.
It is currently live in Mumbai, Pune and Vijayawada. The company has stated that it will be expanded to other cities soon.
