Chinese car maker Chery planning to enter India, may join hands with Tata Motors

Chery is a Chinese automaker that is looking to enter in India from a very long time but haven’t launched any product till now
  • Chery has a partnership with Tata Group but it is not decided yet if they are going to going their product in India with their help or not
  • Previous Tata Motors had a discussion with Chery for a collaboration on platforms and engines as well as the entry of Chery in the Indian market.
  • In 2014 it was reported by Chinese newspaper Nanfang Daily that Chery was in talks to sell its few platforms to Tata Motors to remove its dept and increase its capital.
 India is a fast growing automobile market that’s why Chery is very interested in doing business in India and according to Chen Anning (Chery- Chief Executive), the Indian market was very similar to that China had seen.
