The Indian Railways extensively uses Twitter to address passenger woes.
-
For the first time, the national transporter received a business proposal on its site from Amul.
-
The Railways promptly responded on the micro-blogging site, using a popular tagline of the company for the brand.
-
“IR will be utterly butterly delighted to get the taste of India to every Indian,” the ministry’s handle @RailMinIndia tweeted.
-
Refrigerated van service was introduced a few years ago with an aim to facilitate the transportation of perishable commodities.
-
The van service was provided by Railways only on specific routes in India but presently they are no longer in use.
-
Indian railways will surely be coming up with a plan to provide these vans to Amul.
Amul and Indian Railways official will be meeting up soon to discuss the business proposition. Also, with GST in place, refrigerator parcel vans will be in great demand for moving frozen and chilled products in the country.
