Parle wants a bigger bite of the premium biscuit segment

  • Parle will be focussing more on premium biscuit segment.
  • According to Parle, they have started making a mark in premium segment with their biscuit “Hide and Seek” and “Milano”.
  • Parle would also consolidate its position in mid tier and low price segment.
  • Due to demonetisation urban and rural demand has taken a hit.
  • Market share of premium segment is growing at 5% so entering this segment now would be a good choice.
