Flipkart has launched a new brand called Billion. The irony is that increasing potential of e-commerce has motivated largest e-commerce company in India i.e. Flipkart to launch its own brand Billion to compete across various categories with other on its own portal.

Reincarnated brand Billion from Flipkart’s Big Billion days sale is positioned as a budget brand for billion aspirations of billion people. The objective of the brand is to meet the needs of people in the best possible manner.
The 40-member team is collectively putting efforts to manage the brand Billion and increase its sales. Flipkart is not indulging in any kind of mass advertising and relying only on digital marketing.
Sachin’s initiative of Billion is also the part of Flipkart’s efforts to increase sales of private label products, which offer higher margins to online retailers than sold by third-party brands.
