In a bid to lure more passengers, national passenger carrier Air India will introduce a new menu for its international first & business class segments.
A variety of wines, mocktails for teetotallers & regional cuisine is included in Air India’s new recipe.
Air India will first implement this plan for business & first class passengers on international flights & later on to the domestic flights.
If this is successful it will expand this plan to economy class as well.
The new menu is likely to be implemented from October end.
The airline also plans to introduce new & better cutlery for its premium passengers.
Also on the list is a suggestion to offer such passengers the food of their choice, which will be gathered from them a couple of days ahead of their journey.
The airline will also be imparting refresher training for its chefs who have “lost their Indian touch”.
The move assumes significance as the airline currently witness 70% seat occupancy in business class & 37% in the first class.
