Flipkart is seeking a way to differentiate the positioning of its two online fashion portals–Myntra and Jabong-
in a bid to deepen its sizeable lead in the online fashion segment and prevent the two premium brands from
cannibalizing each other.

Flipkart is also due to launch a new look – Flipkart fashion- the mass market apparel segment on the parent
portal.

Speculation has been rife that Flipkart will shut down Jabong by mid-2017, however as per the sources there
are no plans to shut down Jabong only the technology and supply chain of Jabong will be merged with Myntra
in the long term.

In August, when the acquisition was announced, Jabong and Myntra had claimed a combined customer base of
15 million.
