Erica is an Artificial intelligence robot, famous for being a little too life like for its advance features, will now be casted as the lead star of a movie. This movie will be a Sci-fi film, named “B”.
Erica was created by 2 Japanese scientist, Hiroshi Ishiguro and Kohei Ogawa, back in 2015, during their study of robotics, especially for this role in the movie. It has been programmed to act by applying the acting principles to AI.
“The movie “B” is about a scientist who discovered dangers associated with a program he created to a perfect human DNA and helps the artificially intelligent woman he designed (Erica) escape.” As reported by a Hollywood reporter.
This movie will be the first ever to feature film to rely on an artificially intelligent actor and also holds a huge budget of $70 million.
The scientist Khoze quoted, “In other methods of acting, actors involve their own life experiences in the role. But Erica has no life experiences. She was created from scratch to play the role.”
“We had to simulate her motions and emotions through one on one sessions, such as controlling the speed of her movements, talking through her feelings and coaching character development and body language,” he added.
The making of the movie started last year and some of the film actor’s scenes have already been shot, while the rest will continue in the upcoming year, 2021. As the film industry is currently closed due to the pandemic COVID-19.
