Cafe Coffee Day (CCD)

Cafe Coffee Day which was started by V.G. Siddhartha is now India’s largest coffee chain present in 209 cities with 1500 outlets.
  • The coffee revolution began in 1996 with its first store in Bengaluru.
  • G. Siddhartha, Chairman and MD of CCD belonged to a family who was into coffee growing business since 1870s.
  • Initially it started as an Internet cafe serving coffee because internet was at its infancy during those days.
  • Siddhartha faced a lot of challenges due to external forces which led poor internet experience to its customers.
  • He changed the concept of integrated internet cafe and focussed only on coffee business.
  • CCD believes, “A lot can happen over a cup of Coffee”.
  • The positioning of CCD has been perfectly matched to the youth as they would think of a place to talk it all out.
  • For Corporate, deals happen over a cup of coffee with an ambient atmosphere.
