Bread maker Modern Food Enterprises Ltd has relaunched its brand with eight new variants along with new packaging & advertising.
With the tag line “Be Like Bread”, the company is introducing healthy breads including ‘Multigrain Superseed’, made from various seeds, whole wheat, ‘Atta Shakti’, and ‘Hi-Fibre Brown’ along with a ‘Milk Plus’ bread aimed at school-going children who need nutrition.
The company aims to cater to the evolving Indian consumer by including younger consumers, millennials & the new Indian women & have so extended their portfolio to health and wellness.
The company has also introduced rotis & Malabar paranthas in Kerala & in parts of Tamil Nadu.
As per consumer insights, southern markets were found adopting the northern chapatis to balance their diets with some whole wheat.
Modern will be introducing packaged foods including ready-to-eat chapattis & paranthas in regions where there is a great demand & word of mouth.
The baked goods market in India is growing with the consumption of healthier versions of baked goods, which includes brown bread, multigrain bread, creamless pastries & cakes & for which Modern plans to introduce its new line of baked goods- cakes, portion cakes, muffins, cream-filled goods, in India.
